Night in Kosciusko, MS

The entire crew is staying at the historic Storer House, a.k.a. The Maple Terrace Inn.
Resting up for our two-day ride to Tupelo, birthplace of The King.

A Rare but Welcome Site

You won't see too many of these along the Natchez Trace!  Our last stop of the day at Holly Hills.

Stop at River Bend

Took our first break at River Bend.  This is at the northern end of the Ross R Barnett Reservoir.

Day 3 Beginning

We were able to start about an hour earlier than on previous days. This would be a short day of only 48 miles.  Weather forecast called for record high temps in the low to mid 90s.  But it was overcast all day.
Cliff, Barry and Vickie preparing for the day's ride.  Jack served as SAG driver.

End of Day 2

We finished the ride at the Reservoir Overlook.  A beautiful scene, especially at sunset?

Battery Power?

With Jack driving SAG, his Pedego battery was now backup to mine.  With no fear of losing power before the end of the ride, I took off and powered up to level 5.  I was able to get up to 18 to 20 MPH. Unfortunately, that lasted only 2 miles!  There were 4 bars on the monitor when the entire system shutdown.  Fortunately, Jack was close by.  We switched batteries and I was able to finish the day's ride.  Still I'm very disappointed in my battery's performance.

SAG Change

After 20 miles, Jack and Barry waited for Cliff to bring the relief goods, apples, bananas, assorted fruit, water, etc.  (By this time Vicki was closing in on the Tennessee border.) Jack called it a day and took over the SAG duties.  Cliff unloaded his bike and prepared to join Barry and Vickie for the remainder of the ride.
